Does anyone know if the car park sharks who inhabit the Perth Royal Infirmary free car park take photos of the car after they decide it is parked outwith their so called terms.
If not, how could they prove the car was actually in the free car park without a ticket?
A friend got a letter through the post with details of his car for not displaying a free ticket.
He did get a free ticket but because it was raining he just put it in his pocket instead of walking back to his car.
Of course now he doesn't have it because who keeps a free parking ticket?
He was at the infirmary that day but there was no parking violation notice on his car though he did notice that there were a few yellow poly bags scattered in the car park and a group of kids running around.
He surmises that the kids had taken the penalty notices off the cars.

It makes no difference what they do, as this is Scotland they cannot hold the registered keeper liable, as there is no pofa 2012 up north. So ignore is the general advice of the day, well unless he's not the registered keeperWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

That is not recommended, keep everything in a file in case a reference from it is neededWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

If I remember correctly it's (not so) Smart who infest the PRI. They can be safely ignored.0

Fear not 'retiredin2011'.
Just stand by for around 5 or 6 letters at monthly intervals threatening things that can't actually take place, in an attempt to put the frighteners on, so folks will pay up.

You should just read the ''Have you got a private parking ticket? NEWBIES read this first!'' sticky thread as Scotland is covered there. Or search the forum for the keyword 'Scotland' and read all the other threads the same as this one.its in in Scotland who cares.....chuck letter in bin
We never really advise people to chuck such letters in the bin. File it, keep all the letters and ignore the whole scam though. Complain to the Hospital Facilities Manager and/or Patient Services Manager, by all means, about the harassment as they may have clout to quash the annoying junk mail once & for all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Advice given for parking at PRI:
http://www.nhstayside.scot.nhs.uk/patients/hospital/PRI/pri.shtmlCar Parking on the Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) site is limited and therefore problems may be experienced when attending/visiting the hospital by car.
Currently there are further pressures on car parking spaces due to major redevelopment works on the site which are causing unavoidable delays in obtaining spaces. Therefore wherever possible we would request that you use alternative transport to attend the hospital (please see information below).
If it is essential that you travel to PRI by car please leave adequate time to find a space prior to your appointment.

This only applies Monday - Friday 9am - 4.30pm.
No wonder parking charges are being issued.
And a complaint on a feedback site:
http://www.perthdirectory.info/entry/perth-royal-infirmary.htmlI recently visited the X-Ray department at Perth. Firstly I would like to say how clean, well-organised and efficient the department was. The staff were excellent - everyone working hard but without exception displaying a very pleasant and helpful demeanor to their customers. I would however like to make a suggestion re: the parking situation. My GP logged me for an appointment via his computer system and this registered automatically in the system of the X-Ray department (a very efficient process). He informed me to turn up at a convenient time within the opening hours of the department and present myself at the desk. He did not however provide me with any paper-based appointment form (logical when considering the use of technology). When arriving at the car-park however, the notice indicated that an appointment form should be displayed in the car along with a parking ticket. Failure to do so would incur a £60 fine! The matter was resolved by the very helpful X-Ray receptionist providing me with a ticket, but I then had to walk all the way back to the car to display it and thereby missed my call by the x-ray nurse. Clearly there is a small gap within the process for cases where surgeries refer outpatients via electronic means. I appreciate that the parking system has been implemented to deter unauthorized parking, but it would be good to ask GP surgeries to issue a ticket that the outpatient can fill in (date and time) when they visit. Apart from helping the outpatient, it would also remove one more task for busy reception staff to worry about.
TO THE OP - JUST TO RE-ITERATE ADVICE ALREADY GIVEN GRIN AND BEAR THE LETTERS AND MAKE NO CONTACT WITH THE PPC
BUT DO COMPLAIN TO THE HOSPITAL AND TRUST OR EVEN YOUR MP - THIS HOSPITAL FEATURED IN NEWS (OLD) REGARDING PARKING CHARGES
