Problem with Windows update Microsoft Office 2010 service pack 2

My laptop is asking me to install the above update and claims that it is important. If I try to install it, I get the following message Microsoft Office Single Image 2010 is not accessible. I have no idea what Single Image 2010 is or whether it is important. I googled the title and found some discussions about its purpose and how to uninstall it but little else. I looked on my control Panel but it isn't listed as being on my laptop at all.
Can anyone help? I have not had any problem with previous Microsoft Office Updates.

Have you tried following the advice on this thread?

It appears to be caused by installing a proper version over a (normally OEM installed) trial version without totally removing the trial first.
Just completely uninstall Office but don;t forget to make backups where necessary e.g. PST files etc and re-install. You just need to install SP2 after as it includes the SP1 updates.

I haven't done any installing of proper versions over trial ones since getting this laptop. M office was done for me when I bought the laptop about 4 years ago. I also note what the last person in this discussion says. Her product key failed so now she has no Microsoft Office at all. Mine is working ok so I am a bit reluctant to interfere with that.
