So sick of Npower, but who can I trust next?

Npower is a joke.
I can't get a bill other than last Audust's.
I have sent them meter readings, but apparently I am blocked (nothing to do with my end, their computers apparently)

All I want is a way of entering my meter readings and the computer tells me what my balance is?
How difficult can that be in this day and age?

I have to leave them after 10 years, but I'm now concerned they will !!!! up my leaving them.

What's the best company for online accounts and meter readings etc?

    I am interested in this, as am in a similar position with them. We were paying npower a monthly direct debit, and then, out the blue, it stopped a few months ago. Numerous emails, phone calls later, they cannot seem to sort it out and start charging us again. The fear is getting lumbered a massive bill at some point in the future.

    We are moving house next month and are planning to swap at that point, but not sure who to go to..are they all as bad!?

    Incidentally when we were with british gash, Oh that was a typo, but i like it so will leave it hahaha! when we were with them, you could input your meter readings, get better customer service, but the bills were astronomical

    I'm with British Gas, the customer service is great if you are willing to put down the phone when you call and get the Indian call centre, I ring back until I get someone from Scotland...I'm guessing they have a call centre in Scotland too? the serive is good then, and they also have an app to enter your readings, I have been using it for a year now, they send you an email to remind you each month to send the reading through.

    I don't think their prices are that bad either as I have done a uswitch search and the savings I can make are not much and it is normally with one of the one with really bad customer service.
  • Have a go at First Utility, great kwhr rates but they make Npower look good when it comes to customer service
  • I was considering changing to First Utility.
    But OVO is now the hot favourite.
    A greyhound is for life - not just for racing.

    Thank you for your post.

    We are having billing issues at the moment with some accounts and we have been open about this. For major issues there is not timescale at the moment I can give when this will be resolved. We have teams working on getting these issues sorted as quickly as possible.

    If you can send me your account details to the email address on my profile page I can look into your account and see if it is an issue that I can fix for you or if it is a bigger fix that is needed.
