Hi
I have around £3000 I would like to invest and am undecided as to where the best place would be invest it.
I am prepared to take a bit of a risk and have heard of stocks and shares ISA's but dont know enough about them.
I would really appreciate some help and advice as that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Once you have read the guides on here - try the ISA board you will be able to find more info on the HL website
http://www.hl.co.uk/
There are many others available but HL is very easy to navigateRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the advise, I am now thinking of putting the money into an account where I can have access to it if I need it. Would I be best with a Cash Isa?
Thanks0 -

You still have access to the money in a S&S ISA.
For £3k you are probably best off outside a cash ISA at the moment if that is your entire savings.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

do you mean inside a cash ISA? There are some easy access ones.
I think you might be right, the £3K might be the entire savings, but the OP didn't tell us how much they have, and when they might need to use it.
The OP also didn't tell us whether they have any debts or mortgage or pension0
