farm house insurance

We live in a victorina farm house,of mixed brick and stone, roof also mised on two levels main house is slate, the rear single storiey extension is stone slabs all insurance companies only give one either brick or stone, same with roof slate or tile,no stone, its a semi detached, but next door belongs to us and as not been lived in since the 50s its used as a workshop and storage areas. On the deeds both houses are listed as 111 113(st name) known as farm name (no longer a working farm) over the years I've insureed both under farm name on one policy as a detached house.
The problem I have this year is a lot of the insurance serch companies won't let me insert own address only numbered propertes, which that creates another problem the house next door does not have a number any more the coiuncil removed it from there records because is no longer a house,i know it may seem a bit puzzling, but im trying to find the best way to find insurance

Our house has never had a number, only a name, similarly it was once a farm. The road doesn't have a name, and we don't live in a village.
It has a postal address of course, based on a village 5 miles away in a different county. But that doesn't seem to bother insurers, or indeed anybody looking us up on the national address database.
I don't see why this should be a problem. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
