Sorry to be dim again but do I replace "dated xxx" with the date of the ticket on the windscreen or the date on the letter they sent me today

    Thankyou

It will be the date of the ticket on the vehicle

I know things like this annoy you, but look at this way, the amount of people coming here with parking in disabled bays when they shouldn't have is limited, maybe 1 or 2 a month. Its no excuse but then harassment of genuine disabled people is no excuse either, all parking companies treat disabled bays is a cash cow.

stroma knows a lot more about this than I do, but personally , as you are replying as RK I would be using the postal NTK as my reference and not referring to the windscreen ticket at all, however he may have a different view

my point is that if the windscreen ticket "blew off" you would not even know about it , so as RK its the NTK in the post you are dealing with and asked about

so my money goes with the NTK date and reference , not the windscreen ticket to the driver

    sorry to anyone that disagrees!

but the letter by stroma is excellent , so use it

obviously the NTK will have the parking date anyway

But the letter to him would say the parking incident date, so you should go with that date

agreed , all I am saying is I would reference the acknowledgement as the reference and date of the letter, but refer it also to the parking date which started the ball rolling

    maybe use all 3 ?

what is important is that the OP realises he is replying as RK and hooking a popla code in response to the postal reminder, he is not replying to the windscreen ticket

he could even do as prankster does and reply he was abducted by aliens, couldnt move the car and so requires cancellation or a popla code

the important part being that he gets the popla code, he really needs to focus on that as being his objective, as to often people get sidelined with "other issues"

but your template is still excellent, people just need to learn to adapt it according to the circumstances

    regards as always

Or just put no date ;) the point being is that a template is just that, something to adapt if you need it

Well there is no need for violence on this, my advice to you is not get involved in any confrontations on this matter. Make complaints to the retailers on the fact that they don't have enough provisions for disabled people.

Think I agree with you, its not worth the hassle.
The incident on Xmas eve was one of the Tesco Express places with petrol and a shop etc.
Total 10 parking spaces of which two were reserved. Can't really blame the retailer, just selfish people who think that walking a few hundred yards down the road is too much effort for them.
Sadly, as far as I am concerned they have won.
Are 20% of all motorists disabled? That seems a very high number. Is it even as high as 10%? (assuming disabled motorists park for twice as long in their two places as the abled bodied do in their eight places). Does anyone have any idea how many Blue Badge holders there are?
