Matalan home delivery CRAP!

So I order a few bits from Matalan for home delivery, one of them being a nice over mantle mirror half price in the sale at £30, to be delivered on the 27th, everything comes bar the mirror, so I call customer services only to be told that the delivery driver may of had a small car and obviously couldn't fit it in on his round and to expect it today.... After checking my bank, I realised that the full amount for all items had come out of my account, so I again ring Matalan to find out why they have taken all the money when I was still waiting for delivery, they tracked the parcel and told me that it had not been delivered because Hermes had said it was damaged. So I ask for another and am told it is out of stock, nothing at nearest Matalan store so I can't go and re-buy one. I also cannot have a refund until they receive the parcel back from Hermes. They are not prepared to find another at a store and send to me as apparently they don't do that, even though I bought this in good faith and they took the money before delivery was complete. However even though it is showing as out of stock at warehouse I was told that when they have more in I could either go through the process again or buy one in store for the original full price.... "Oh why thank you" was my reply, I'm really cheesed off is there anything I can do about this or do I just have to suck it up and wait for my refund?:mad:
