Glad it stopped raining.

Happy New Year to you all!
I didn't even try to budget for December! However, I am starting the new year (like many others I see) with good intentions and resolution.
I am going to try a different approach - £50 per week for all food/cleaning for two adults and a small dog - I am hoping I can get a grip on weekly expenditure more easily than I did for monthly. So starting on January 3rd that is 4 weeks to the 31st - so £200 altogether for January. I know it is a lot compared to some - but food is a great pleasure for us and we eat low carb :-)

I NEED to join this thread
Budget for January is £250 - and I actually hope to come way under that, (there is only 2 adults, 3 cats and 2 big dogs). But still need to do meal planning and such. Great thread wish I had found it earlier. Going to look through all the recipes and ideas for inspiration.

Afternoon all (and a very happy new year for later tonight!)
I'm not officially joining in this month as it's a funny one for us. Bf is away 11 days in what is left of the Jan GC month and then a further 14 in the Feb GC month so it kind of messes with my systems and planning a bit as I'm never sure where I'm at :S
Wrote a long post and scrapped it as I'm sure no one really wants to read my ramblings at working out my GC budgets! Just wanted to wish you all luck and I will still lurk for all the handy tips and recipes etc************************************

Hi, this challenge is a new one for me - I spend waaay too much on supermarket shopping! Would like to join in with a monthly budget of £250, with a view to reducing that as I get into the challenge.
Good luck everyone, and happy new year!

Hi. I would like to join this thread please? Desperately need some way of keeping on top of grocery spending. There is now only me but can't seem to get head out of 'family of 4' spending. Will try for £60 per month for January. Still have full cupboards as was ill all over Christmas and did not eat much at all.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0
