What can I do with an entire iced Christmas cake!?

I made a Christmas cake this year at the end of November but used the wrong sized spring-form tin (25cm instead of 20cm) so it was slightly on the flat side and did quite cook correctly.
I proceeded to feed it with brandy throughout December and then also marzipan/iced it a week before Christmas.
In the back of my mind I knew it wasn't going to be a 'great' cake and sure enough the first slice cut proved me right. Even though it looked okay, the cake was very wet. It tasted okay (the brandy overload helped!) but I just can't face eating anymore of it as its quite dense.
Now I was going to just throw it out, but then I thought of asking you guys n gals for some help or ideas on how I can potentially use some of it up....
If there really is nothing I can do, I'll throw some to the birds and they'll have a very merry New Years eve!!! :rotfl:
Thanks in advance one and all!

I would recommend taking the icing and marzipan off and serve the cake in small pieces with custard/rum sauce/brandy sauce or cream-treat it more like a rich pudding as opposed to a cake.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Just to add I would probably keep the icing and marzipan and eat it.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

If you google 'Christmas cake ice cream' there are lots of variations that come up eg. http://www.channel4.com/4food/recipes/seasonal/christmas/christmas-cake-ice-cream-terrine-recipe

you could take the icing off & crumble bits of cake into a bread & butter pudding, using the cake in place of dried fruit.
You could also mix it into stewed apple under a crumble topping.0 -
Great suggestions - thank you!
I'll certainly whip that icing off today and divide the cake up to have a play around with a couple of different ideas.
No more wasted cake - yay!2015 - I am determined to lose at least 3 stone in weight and I must pay off at least one of my credit cards...If I keep telling myself, I might start believing it!!!Save £2 a day for Xmas 2015 Challenge: £56/£730:dance: HAPPY NEW YEAR - HERE'S TO A GREAT 2015 FOR US ALL! :dance:0 -

I was going to suggest the ice cream that Tom Kerridge made to accompany that yummy looking orange cake http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/spiced_orange_cake_with_47262. It looked delicious. He actually used Xmas pudding but I am sure Xmas cake would work equally well."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
I've made muffins from left over Christmas pudding, you should be able to do the same with the christmas cake if it is moist.

I will send round Ms BoPsie at Easter. She will have demolished our whisky encrusted one by then. In the meantime, keep feeding it some alcohol, but please, not brandy. Sherry, Port or Whisky in future there gal.0
