removing finanical links from credit file

Options
I have a link to someone over 6 years ago on my credit file. can this be removed as I don't see speak to this person so don't want them link to my credit file?

Comments

  • Yes, as long as you no longer share any credit agreements, bank accounts etc, you can file a notice of disassociation with the 3 CRAs. Experian, equifax and call credit.

Worth checking they are on all 3 first. Call credit can be checked for free via Noddle.

You can register a disassociation with Experian using our online financial connections questionnaire.

The form requires item like there current address. I haven't seen this person in over 8 years (don't know why it's still on the credit file) so I don't know there old address or there new one. What can I do?

Mines only on equip ax but not on noodle? But equivalent wants all there addresses etc, should I worry about removing it and how long does it stay in there? It's been there 10 years.

On noodle I do have a credit card I closed over 10 years ago but on equip ax it doesn't show it
