My OH has an Acer iconia tablet. I'm unsure how long the tablet has been like this but he is unable to access the Google play store from the icon on the home screen. When he taps the icon it says 'no connection retry' and he does have a connection. Any ideas why this is?

The Play app may have been updated. Have you tried opening the Play app from the full app list? Try deleting the icon then adding it again?0

Is it connected to the internet?
Is the time and date and location correct?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Sounds like it needs an update, try following the advice above and see if that works0

I'd recommend checking the time and date as well, if they're not correct you'll get an error when accessing the Play store stating no connection available.
