I am trying to set up microsoft and I am given options for:-
1. incoming mail server
2. incoming mail (pop3,imap etc.)
3. outgoing mail (smpt) server)
I am subscribed to orange broadband and use yahoo as my e-mail.
I haven't got a clue what to put in the 3 options asked for above. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Use yahoo's settings for incoming mail (should be pop3) and orange's for outgoing.

I dont know if you can have Yahoo as a pop access anymore I think its now a premium paid for feature.
Anyway have you ever had it working or is this a new email address that your setting up for the first time?0 -
Never used outlook before, but I use a number of e-mails- Yahoo, lycos, gmail and budweiser. I'm told that outlook can merge them all into one place.
To make matters more complicated I use Orange as my isp and have forgotton my e-mail address and password as I have'nt needed to use them for nearly 2 years0 -

You don't normally need username and password for outgoing mail (smtp) just the server name and that's all.
As Asus says, all this is only relevant if your email providers support pop3, otherwise they can only be accessed through a browser. It's possible with gmail, yahoo depends if it's a plus account I think, don't know about the others."She is quite the oddball. Are you trying yahoo, and is it a free account or not? As mentioned yahoo free accounts don't allow you to download your mail to your pc."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

2. Log onto incoming mail server- server was found, no response from server (edited dow)
3. Find incoming mail server- unable to connect to the incoming mail server, please verify the server name in the incoming mail server (edited down)0
