Confusion Over Enhanced Disability Premium
Comments

ach fortnight.................................................the EDP should be paid automatically if you get an income related ESA top up ( as your husband claims for you as a dependant)
did you receive cokd weather payments while he was receiveing IB?
when did he migrate to ESA?0 -
Thinking about it, no I'm pretty sure he didn't get cold weather payments on Incap either, I assumed because enhanced disabililty premium was an income based top up that is a new thing to us that this might have put him in the criteria for them now, it's all mind boggling!
We were migrated to ESA early 2012 and he had the medical in May that year, he originally was put in the WRAG group but I sent a letter asking how they'd reached that decision and asked for a breakdown of it, 6 weeks later we received a letter saying it had been looked at again and he'd been placed in the support group, decision backdated to May 2012.0 -
He wouldn't get cold weather payments on IB because it's not income based.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
50p saver #40 £20 banked
Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.250 -
thats what were trying to establish. He wouldn't get cold weather payments on IB because it's not income based.
if hyjr jusband was claiming for the OP, they would have been getting an income suppot top yp and so be entitled to the cold weather paument.
just a thought...
the husband would have been given transitional protection when transderring to ESA, so maybe their benefit is already higher than ESA support group including EDP?
that may be why it hasnt been listed0 -
All so confusing:) He was and is claiming for me on both claims for IB originally and now ESA, he was transitionally protected so we haven't received less when transferring over.0
