Faulty Battery

I bought a battery from radioshack about 2 and a half weeks ago for my Samsung galaxy s4 because the one I got with my phone developed a fault, that one has been replaced, the battery I bought from radioshack is a fake because besides the label on it saying "near field communication" it doesn't work, Other than that the battery seems fine, I'm going into the shop tomorrow but the only thing on my receipt that describes what I bought is "Genuine bat", no serial numbers or anything to match up to the battery so could they just say I never bought it from there? Also the battery didn't come in any packaging it was just loose, The bloke behind the counter even said they had just been delivered from Samsung and I specifically asked him if they were nfc enabled batteries to which he said yes, O2 shop even recommended them.

Could be faulty, I just assumed fake for some reson, They need to sort it out but i'm worried bout the receipt issue. Also on the receipt it says Moss Electronics LTD but the outside of the store says radioshack.

NFC is done by the handset not the battery. Is it just a tag on the battery?
Whats not working with the battery that you thought would work?

A quick Google seems to suggest there are at least 2 stores in the UK using the Radioshack name. They seem to be resellers though and I don't know if they actually have permission to be using the Radioshack name and logo.

Some phones have the antenna for NFC in the battery so you need a battery with the antenna for it to work even if the phone itself has the feature.

Not necessarily, many companies have Trading As names. TJ Hughes is the company behind Home Bargains, even their website is under the domain tjhughes, yet Home Bargains is the name everyone knows them as.

As mentioned the phone has NFC not the battery. Some wireless chargers can interfere with the signal for the NFC but the battery shouldnt be a problem.

What NFC devices are you testing it against?

Your correct, The S4 (after googling) has the antenna in the battery.
