What Conveyancing Solicitor in the Guildford Area????

Hi
This is my 1st post.
I have just had an offer accepted on a property in the Guildford area and am a little unsure whether to use an online conveyancing company or a local firm? I have had a few quotes from online companies such as “Conveyancing Warehouse” and “RMNJ Conveyancing”. Both of these are around half the price of any local company quotes.
I am buying the house together with my girlfriend, we are 1st time buyers and vendors have no chain. So, this (in theory) should be a simple transaction????
Thanks in advance

If he is still in business, and if he still has a personal involvement in the firm, try Michael J Wey of Godalming. Last used him for a Guildford (my home area though I got out of the rat race in 2001) sale and related purchase six years ago. The firm was extremely competitive in price and I had no complaints whatever with the service I got.0

Although a bit out from Guildord I used this firm when I moved, just make sure you ask for Barbara Taylor herself to act for you. http://http://www.barbara-taylor.co.uk/index.htm
I found her very efficient & of course it's on a no completion - no fee basis.0 -
you dont need to use a local solicitor, I used one in Chester and got a fantastic price : www.onlineconveyancing.co.uk0
