Ripping out fitted wardrobes

The house I'm buying (if all goes to plan) has fitted wardrobes in the bedroom which I want to rip out. I assume that the walls behind will need replastering and painting once the wardrobes have been removed and possibly the ceiling too. Plus the floor (laminate) will need removing and carpet put down as the floor only…

Thank you for all the advice. The rest of the room is in very good condition, all paint, no paper I think, so I may be able to get away with just doing the bits behind the wardrobes in terms of plastering, but I'll repaint the whole room anyway.
My friend is a floor layer so he'll help with the flooring. And I have plenty of folk who'll dismantle wardrobes for cups of tea and biscuits. I am hoping I won't need a plasterer. But I'll definitely get one on stand by as it were, plus a handyman too.

Thanks for the freecycle tip, I have used it in the past. I guess if I measure everything up the wardrobes might be perfect for someone else, after all they're coming from a fairly standard terraced house.
