Dogs Lips Losing Colour

As most of you will know we have a rescued 18 month old lab.
Over the last couple of weeks we have noticed pale patches on her upper lip. Today I have noticed the whole area is now pale. Is this something to worry about ?

Looks like she's losing hair from the foto... is she?
It's a visit to the vet i'm afraid, if you're worried & you obviously are.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

I am wondering if it is being rubbed off. She was never really walked before we got her.
She is now walked 3 times a day. She walks with her nose to the ground sniffing from side to side, like she is following a scent.0 -
Take her to the vet. End of.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Really don't think I will be posting on this board again. I have never met such rude abrupt people in my life.0

Hi, when our border collie Barney was small he was the same, his nose and the skin round it changed colour.
I don't think it's anything to worry about at all, just natural changes. xI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

she is soo cute
sorry I don't know anything about dogs so can't advise but when I have an issue I am not sure about with my cat, I just give the vets a call and ask if it is something I need to go in about. They are normally very helpful and don't make me pay for a consultation if its not necessary.

OP, we aren't allowed to give medical or vetinary advice on the forums, so the standard advice will always be to see a vet if you are at all worried about it.
It might be nothing, but even a vet won't diagnose from a photo. If your dog isn't worried about it, or scratching at it then I'd ring them tomorrow, to see if they think they need to see her.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0
