NCB when cancelling policy mid-term
Say you have 2 years ncb as of 1.6.12 and take a new policy out with this ncb mid 2013. Say mid term the policy is cancelled by customer, thus an extra year not added, say its cancelled 1.1.14, will they return the ncb stating 2 years dated 1.1.14 or will the 2 years be dated 1.6.12, thus won't be accepted any longer after the 2 years, so 1.6.14...
Hope this makes sense

Say you have 5 years ncb as of 1.6.12 and take a new policy out with this ncb mid 2013.

Where did you lose 3 years?0 -
They will return you an NCB on their own paper showing the amount you had (i.e two full years) as at the date you cancelled with them (1.1.14) as long as you already proved it to them at the inception of the policy (if they asked you - sometimes they dont and just trust you anyway!). So then this NCB would be valid to use for two years from 1.1.14 for anew policy somewhere else.0

Sorry should have put 2 years ncb in the first line, not 5 years - will edit it. Thanks0
