Royal Mail posting Boxes.

I am aware that Royal Mail have introduced a couple of new sized boxes for posting.
Having checked them out in the Post Office I noted that the cheapest one to post was £2.60. Now the silly question - Is this just the price of posting the box and the box is extra or is it inclusive of the box?
If the box costs extra, could someone tell me how much they are? Thanks!

£2.60 is the cost of the postage for a small parcel - the box will be extra - I believe a lot extra if you do buy it from the Post Office.
A lot depends on what you're sending, it's packed size and weight.
Best to check on Royal Mail's site to avoid a nasty surprise at the Post Office.
If you're not sending many then I have seen packs of 3 postage boxes (small parcel size) in poundland. HTH0 -
It's the cost of posting a parcel that size only not the packaging.
What size is your parcel, it may be cheaper to send via an alternative.0 -
The Post Office do not supply packaging free of charge, apart from special delivery bags.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Having checked them out in the Post Office .........
what exactly did you check out?
BTW it seems you are not aware of the difference between Post Office and Royal Mail.,.....The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
