Advice re: Neighbour's leak

We have a shared alley between us and next door which runs under our bathrooms.

Our neighbour has had a leak from their bathroom for about 2 weeks, which we alerted them to as soon as we noticed.

They haven't done anything about it. The wall to the front of their house is wet and this has gradually worked it's way across so it's now making our front wall wet. Water is running down their wall in the alley and is now dripping through the ceiling of the alley.

If the ceiling in the alley comes down are we in any way liable? Other than ask them to sort it is there anything else we can do?

As the weather is now below freezing here I'm concerned about the water in the wall freezing.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Some terraced houses have an alley running between them and this alley is shared by the houses either side of the alley. This alley runs exactly between the centre of both houses on the ground floor only, leaving above as usable space.
