£500? Trips are not cheap and I doubt you want to only eat in the hotel so will need money for meals on top, souvenirs etc.
You can always bring home what's left.
I went Alcudia years ago (Jupiter/saturno if I remember) and the food was not brilliant. In fact we stopped doing AI holidays as we never had a decent meal on any of them.0 -
We rarely take much foreign currency with us, sometimes none. It's usually easier to just to withdraw local cash as and when you need it from ATMs when you get there.0

I would go with baza52 and say about £500, but as gloomendoom says don't take it all with you. I'd suggest taking £50 in euros to get you any essentials when you arrive and then withdraw any cash out when you're there.
Trips can be expensive, a boat trip can be around €30 per adult, the aquapark in Alcudia is around €22 per adult and then there's the food and drink when you're in there too. Meals out can be as cheap or as expensive as you wish, but I would suggest budgeting around €70 for each dinner out for the family (including a drink each and a couple of courses). Ice creams and snacks might be chargeable extra at the hotel too so worth checking that out before you leave.Lea0 -
We normally take around £100 in euros and put the rest on cards or get out cash when we are there.0

I would research the trips you might want to on, to give you an idea of how much you will need."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0

We normally budget £100 a day ish but that's self catering. For a 2 week hol we would normally take £1500 spending money but that includes everything and we usually come back with some.
For a week all inc I'd say £500 is plenty x0
