Housing Benefit wants Bank Statements...

and any savings accounts etc.... Do I need to send statements in, they already have my wages slips, know how much WT etc I get going each month.

yes they do to be sure you have no savings between 6k and 16k.
they can already access any accounts in your name, so trying to withold statements would be pointless anyway0 -
Well after a quick google seems they can, have never been asked before just seems rather intrusive but I suppose I will get over it!0

Yes we can check you income and outgoings from your bank statements any undeclared income, any transfers from other undeclared bank accounts and Paypal/eBay transactions which might indicate a regular income from eBay selling etc etc etc.These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
