Southern Electric "General Domestic" tariff
Options
Hi,
I'm hoping to us the CEC to help me decide what energy company/tariff I will switch to.
I've only got electricity with Southern Electric.
My bill states that my tariff is "General Domestic".
I can't find this tariff on the CEC "Tell us the name of your current elec deal" drop down menu.
Should I select the "standard" tariff for my comparison?
I tried calling Southern Electric to get clarification on my tariff, but their office is closed.
I've tried to calculate how many KWh per year my household uses, but this is proving too confusing for me.
Will Southern Electric give me this information if I call them?
Thank you in advance.

Almost certainly Standard.
Why is it 'confusing' to calculate your annual kWh usage? For electricity, one meter unit = 1 kWh. You can work it out either by totalling your last year's kWh billing across the bills, or by taking billing reads a year apart and deducting the earlier from the latter. The result is your annual usage. Your usage is also shown on your annual statement. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I called SE and they told me:
I am on a Standard Tariff
