Attaching A Photograph

Hi

I am trying to place an add on freecycle and want to attach a photograph of the item. I took the picture on my phone then sent it via bluetooth to my pc.

Did my add, and attached the picture but it won't work as it says the file is too big. Freecycle says picture should be no more than 256kb. But the picture on my computer says it is 2.3Mb. Why is my picture using so much memory - why so large?

Is there anything I can do to make it smaller?

Many thanks
Terrysdelight

Phone cameras are getting better and take pretty good photos for what they are and 2.5mb is average. Mine generates a 3.2mb photo.

You can use a paint program to resize it, or a website such as this...
