New Battery for Microsoft Surface

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the back of a Microsoft Surface Tablet to replace the battery.

    Surface Pro 2? You need a heat gun, and a load of plastic picks.

    You will probably destroy the surface during the operation.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    The chaps at IFixIt have a teardown of the original Surface:

    It looks surprisingly easy - the case is held together with screws, and although the battery is glued in place, it's not glued too hard.

    The Surface Pro and subsequent Surfaces require a heat gun, though. Good luck!

    Well, how to do it is above, but if you bought ANY Microsoft Surface from a retailer, they're ALL young enough that you should reasonably expect the battery to have lasted longer than this - SOGA.
