TalkTalk Cancellation Notice

How much notice do you have to give to cancel the TalkTalk Essentials TV service? And how do you have to do so?
My fiancee has this package and is moving in with me on 16 January 2014. She has rung TT to give the 30 days notice she thought she had to give. The call centre "drone" told her to ring back 7 days before the required date. They also gave her the distinct impression that they wanted to get rid of the call as quickly as possible.
The 30 September 2013 (presumably still current) T&C's say ...
11. Ending Your Contract
11.1 If you no longer want to receive one or several of our Services, you must tell us a certain number of days in advance. How many days will depend on which Service(s) you currently take from us.
Termination by You
11.4 If you wish to cancel a Service, the following will apply:
11.4.1 To end the Call Service, you must tell us in writing 15 days in advance of leaving us.
11.4.2 To end the Broadband Service, the TV Service, Mobile Service or the Fibre Optic Broadband Service you must tell us in writing 30 days in advance of leaving us;
PS. The 7 days notice seems to apply to this ...
Termination by Us

11.6.1 to end the Call Service, we can stop supplying you with our Service if we tell you in writing 7 days in advance.

If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

No, I haven't. There should be less contract time on my fiancee's service than on mine. That's why we've ceased hers and upgraded mine, rather than cease mine and transfer hers.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to sneak another month out of us.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

You don't appear to mention her initial service provision date? A subscriber must complete any minimum term before asking to cease so that the complete term is used before cessation.
They may well have been protecting her from an early cancellation charge.0 -
I know. I need to try and find the documentation. She isn't the world's most organised person.
What's in it for TT to avoid a lucrative charge from a ceasing (ie. disloyal) customer? If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
