Flights to Canada

Hi , Just thought I would ask about this I booked a flight to Canada 2 months ago departing April 1st .Have been invited to god sons wedding. I have noticed that the flight has come down by £100 and am just wondering whether it would be worth my while asking Air Canada to lower my fare .I know the US have a law that if your flight is cheaper than originally booked if you ask they will give you money off vouchers you can use against your next flight. Know this maybe a long shot but it's quite a lot of money and being retired I need to watch my pennies.Regards Henry

I had a similar situation a few years ago flying with BA to the USA. I queried this and was told the fares could have dropped due to Travel Agents returning some of their allocation. Upon check in I found that we had been upgraded for the outward journey. Was this as a result of my call or just coincidence?
Don't know anything about US law, however I am sure that BA wouldn't currently have a sale on if they thought they would have to refund all those passengers who have bought at the higher price0 -
There's a lot of people who don't check there flights to see if fares have went up or down ( they're probably right as I'm driving myself to distraction over this) ,will look on you getting upgraded as a good omen and give Air Canada a call . Thank You Henry0
