Can't echo Monkeyballs last comments enough! It will settle down and in a couple of months you will suddenly realise that you are able to live day to day, week to week and month to month with the money you have. The debt starts to look after itself and begins to fall. Before you know it life has returned to normal - no sleepless nights, no worrying about what is going to drop through the letter box and a satisfaction that you are no longer relying on debt to live and are not increasing your debt.

So long as your budget is accurate and full you will be able to manage. It's not easy at first - and i'm still at the start really - but thats because you are not using debt to pay for things like you used to. However it does soon settle and as each month goes by it becomes very satisfying. Good luck!

Before bothering with a DMP make sure the debt is enforceable.
Send out a CCA request to each creditor, you could save yourself money and years of misery.
Any debt pre 2007 is almost certainly unenforceable.

    Hi Cynicalgit (great name)

Could you possibly explain this as I'm not sure what you mean? What is a CCA request?
