Historical Commercial Property Price

How would I find the price paid for a commercial property? (Purchased 2009) Its had planning approved for a change of use to residential. Checked the land registry details but these show a valuation price submitted 2012 not the price originally paid.

Thanks

Well land registry should still hold it, but can I ask your logic? Because if it's to see if it's a fair price the original price is worthless

Thanks. How would I find that? Just looking for historical info for reference. Clearly the value now is not related to the present situation.

As Guest101 says we should still hold details of the price paid in 2009. If the property was sold for its full market value the price should be shown in the register for that date. For a fee of £9 you can apply for copies of old registers, by filling in and sending us form HC1. Alternatively for a fee of £11 you could apply for a copy of the transfer deed for that date, which again should show the price paid.
