The price matched thing started a lot longer than just last year, but when I asked 18 months back they said they didnt do it whilst others claimed before that they did. One salesman told me Jessops also run another online business that sells cameras think it was cameras4u.com

Around 40 stores are turning into clearance shops. This means those stores will be selling clearance stock only (stuff the company bought too much of / older models).

They WILL NOT be selling current models, ordering anything in for anyone, sending items for repair, etc (developing and processing as normal).

At the moment things are around 10-25% off, that might change though

Don't go in expecting a Nikon D80 for 50% off or anything stupid though - the aim is to try and claw some money back, not give things away at a loss.

As for the normal stores, the current policy is to pricematch local shops, and also as mentioned before with a 'we will match camera/lens prices in this magazine' voucher. A manager might try and bring the price down a bit on something if you ask, but there is no internet pricematch policy.
