                    Hi guys, you are my last shot;;
got a stain on white bedroom carpet,80/20, aprox 3 inch square,due to trying stain remover;;
sticks out like a sore thumb.
grandaughter, is a Miliner, uses dyes all the time, cannot advise, so depending on you too come up trumps.
tried bleach:eek: no good, still the same,I cannot find a white dye;usually go from light to dark, not this way;
even thought of splicing a bit in, but think the seam will show;
any advice grateful, before I buy another rug to cover it.
merry xmas to all.

hiya, no idea of the original, probably a bit of OH eye make up,small, but, the stain remover we usually use on all our light carpets. just made the stain darker/bigger, and the bleach yesterday has made it yellowish.I_have_spoken wrote: »WHat caused the stain?
think a new rug, to match an existing bedside one may be the answer?
have seen material paints, but dubious.
OH,s decision for white carpet, but, 3 years and first stain aint bad:=)0 -
            How about giving Ace fabric bleach a go at shifting the stain or the yellow patch you've now created from using standard bleach?
Or there is another all round household product called Bar Keeper's Friend that might do the trick, seeing as it's a white carpet. You'd need to work it into a paste, apply it to the carpet, perhaps with an old toothbrush & then leave for a while to see if it's helped shift the mark.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
