fujitsu ah512 wont upgrade

bought my daughter the fujitsu laptop and its worse than useless at the momemt, it wont upgrade to 8.1 or install any apps, can anyone offer any advice please?

No error messages then, just won't upgrade?
this is what you need to be able to upgrade http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/system-requirements
Fujitsu historically have been know to charge people for cd containing drivers where many companies give them away0 -

Have you checked for malware? Have you installed all of the Updates to date?0 -
It's a brand new computer, it has 91 updates to load up, we go through the process of updating, but the PC wont accept the updates? really at a loss0
