Ad-Aware 2007 (free version) limitations

I've been using Ad-Aware SE Personal for a few years but noticed a new version Ad-Aware 2007 when I was looking in File Hippo for updates. Downloaded and installed it but found that if you want to scan a selected area (e.g. just one folder or an external drive) you have to get the paid version.

The old SE Personal version lets you scan selected areas so I'll stick with it for now. Has anyone else noticed this or am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know when the old SE Personal version will no longer be supported with updates?

Does that on mine as well (2007) but only tried it since you posted. I normally only ever use the smart scan or full scan anyway.

Thd old version is completely free, allows me to copy the files adaware.exe and defs.ref on a pen drive and run it that way, and it's still compatible with new versions of the reference file. So for once, I'm not upgrading, which is quite unusual for me :p
