Thanks for all your replies, still not too confident I could make a decision though! I guess everyone has their own experience and their opinions stem from that viewpoint. I'm almost certain that I'll buy one soon, have to watch the prices in the sales, but no clearer yet about what I'll end up with - watch this space:)0

I won't get involved in which model as that's down to personal choice but I would recommend a tip passed on to me at beginning of this autumn and that has seriously reduced my tumble drying time/usage. Once I've done my usual washing cycle, I then put the machine back on for just a spin only cycle (about 15 mins on my washing machine). I've found that gets out so much more water that instead of then putting stuff in the tumble dryer for about 70 mins, I can now get away with just a 50 min cycle. I also leave stuff in the tumble dryer until the dryer is completely cold (about another 20 mins on my machine). After all, have paid for that heat, might as well get full benefit of it into my washing! I hate having washing around the house but using the dedicated spin and leaving stuff in the tumbler until it's cold, that's meant that this autumn and winter I can just fold up the clothes and put them in the airing cupboard straightaway. Then just iron as and when I have time.0

Funny I'm going in the opposite direction. One bed flat also just me. Have an Indesit washer-drier recommended by Which. I got sick of clothes shrinking in the drier and a melting incident with a sweater. Decided that as clearly every thing wasn't safe in the drier I needed to investigate alternative s -I looked at heated drying racks like Lakeland do but decided that an airer with dehumidifier seemed the best option.admittedly I want it to solve my window condensation issue too. But just saying you may wish to consider other options.0
