Advice sought for buying London theatre tickets on the day

I plan to be in London on Friday 24th January and Saturday 25th and would like to see either The Bodyguard or The Commitments.

Where am I best to go to get the best last minute type tickets for either days, i.e. ticket booth or the theatre itself? Or somewhere different?

Am I likely to get a good deal on the Friday for a Saturday performance?

Am I likely to get a better deal for Saturday PM compared with say Friday evening?

A matinee performance may well be your cheapest option. Are you likely to be eligible for any concession?

The Bodyguard actually has day seats at £25 available from 10am of the day of the performance. But these can be popular so it would be worth getting there early (around 8) if you want to guarantee getting a seat.

Alternatively the TKTS booth in Leicester Square may have tickets for either - but this isn't always at a discount.
