I think you can cancel the Google account set up for now. It should just be a case of entering the wi-fi key, getting a connection and going from there.0

thanks we tried not doing the google account and entering the key it still says to low signal even though laptop and nook connected0 -
I would factory reset . Setup again still a problem and other devices have a good signal return to vendor .
Brother might be able to download a wifi signal tester app from Play store to test the connection .0 -
Maybe try turning off/on wifi? Is the battery fully charged?
Also you can try enabling the wi-fi hotspot on a mobile phone, see if it connects to that.
Possibly take it to McDonalds or somewhere where there is is wi-fi, and try connecting to that?
Obviously you can't stay in McDonalds but if it connects fine to other networks then there could be something to do with with the wi-fi at home. Even though other devices are connecting. It depends on how it was set up (could be locked down by MAC address as well as by wi-fi key for example)
Maybe also try rebooting the router at home.
If it fails to connect to any other wireless network, there could be a problem with the tablet itself. Although it's unlikely as they are well built.0 -
Remove router security reboot tablet and try to connect as a a test .0
