TV aerial cable confusion

Bought a TV home for Christmas.
Our Antenna outlet on wall has female socket(needing male pin)
But back of TV too seems to need Male pin.
Aerial cable we got have female on one side and male pin on other side.
How to tackle this?

Had the same problem on xmas eve, popped down the local everything shop and got a male to female cable for 99p.

If you have your old cables and a digital decoder or vcr or dvd you may be able to run a cable from the aerial socket to the digital decoder and from there to the tv

    Thanks
But buying a male to female cable may not solve the problem. If I use the new cable on wall socket,I still end up with female end of the cable.
Also this TV has inbuilt freeview box and dvd hence don't need any other boxes with it with spare input/output points

You need a male-to-male cable. This is the usual configuration for what is known as an aerial flylead.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

    Hi;

    so you have this,

    but you need this,

or cut the female end off and fit one of these,

though usually the extension cable is very flimsy when cut into, so you might be as well to get a length of coax, 2 of the above and make up your own cable.

Look here to see how to fit connector.

The cable you have is for a video recorder. Tackle it by buying a male to male fly lead as suggested.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

This. the cables you have are intended to connect VCRs and DVD Recorders to TVs.

M-M leads are readily available at high street stores, many of which will be open today ...
