Its really an ereader, does it do that OK, aside from that I wouldn't expect much more for £50.

Do your research before you buy, ask on the forums for any help.
  • well I thought all tablets can do games etc as its android never thought they would make a android only for reading

Unfortunately, unless it specifically states "Far playing games" there is little you can do about a refund. If it is fit for the purpose it was made for they are covered, not liking it is not part of a sales of goods act. ;)

Your posting history suggests you're in a permanent state of hysteria whenever you buy just about anything.

My advice for future purchases, is either look for advice on MSE or make everything from scratch.

Description from Studio24 (think this is the right one):
    • The Arnova GBook is fully compatible with the most common eBook formats thanks to the preloaded ALdiko Premium app. The GBook runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to offer you the best apps, games, email and web experience
    • 7" capacitive multi-touch display
    • 512MB RAM
    • 8GB memory
    • Built-in WiFi
    • 1GHz processor
    • Micro SD slot
    • Built-in rechargable battery - recharges via micro USB
    • Size H9.6 x W11.8 x D1.1cm (7¾ x 4½ x ½")
12 Months Manufacturer Warranty as Standard.

It would seem it indicate you can download apps and play games without it crashing.

I think you will find that its the unit that runs Android ICS, of which can run the best apps, games.

It does not say The GBook runs the best apps, games, email and web experience that use Android ICS.

My old 386sx can run Android ICS, which offers you the best apps, games and web experience. However I have my doubts that it would run a HD game through it, regardless of Androids ability to run them.

However, nothing ventured is nothing gained OP, as the worse case scenario is they can only say "NO" to a refund. ;)
