Help acer camera memory!?

having searched all the usual sites i have bought a sd card to later find out that my camera (acer 8530) will not accept it and seems to want acer only products.
I cant find them anywhere and now understand why i got such a bargain from ebay as 64mb is just a stupidly annoying amount!
Any suggestions? - i have tried kelkoo, acer uk website and even googling model with no success

What size of SD card have you purchased?0

2gb- the message comes up that i can not use this cARD- its not a new type either0

That was the reason I was going to suggest. 1GB max.0
