Bought DD ipad for christmas.
It is unresponsive, will not turn on or off and unable to reset.
Can you please confirm that I am entitled to a new replacement and do not have to have it repaired?
Thank You
Merry Christmas :j

When did you buy it? If you bought it within 28 days then it's highly likely to get a replacement or a refund. The best way to get it replaced is if you take it to Apple0

It was bought about a month ago.
I would be upset if its brand new out of the box and a new replacement wasnt offered.0 -
Tesco say that anything bought after 1st November can be returned before the 31st January (as per their returns policy). As this is a SOGA issue, I can't see there really being a problem
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Just as easily a user issue. Have you reset it? (Press and hold the home and power buttons for 5 seconds).
Slide the on-screen switch off slider, and it will restart.0 -
It wont reset either. :-(
Will try again tho.
Thank You0 -
Have you charged it up sufficiently? I know my girlfriends iPhone is completely unresponsive for several minutes after being plugged into the mains if the battery is drained. It eventually wakes up.0

Most devices come with about 80% battery out of the box.
OP since you bought it there have been 2 iOS updates, was the device turned off whilst this was in progress?
Alternatively connect to a laptop wit iTunes and reset0 -
It was charged. I managed to turn it back on and then it went off again.
Weve already got 2 ipads and not had this problem before.0 -
It may be worth a trip to the Genius Bar to confirm the iPad is actually dead, and it's not, say, a faulty charger, user error, etc.
Tesco's policy on faulty electrical goods is they will try to repair first.0
