Virgin.....aaarrrggghhh!!!

:mad: Never been declined a credit card in my life :mad: Virgin have said that i should contact experian! Anybody else had same treatment? :mad:

    check ur credit file, maybe someone has some bad info on you.

    It depends how much current debt you have. Do you have another MBNA card such as Abbey or A&L? Virgin would most likely turn you down if you have.

    You say you 'have never been turned down before - how many cards are currently open? How much avaialable credit do you have? Maybe it is time to close some cards. If you don't owe any money I would as above poster says check your credit file with Experian. Are you on the electoral roll? Do you live at the same address as someone with a dodgy credit history.

    If you have no credit problems you can always appeal Virgin's decision.

    If you are a stoozer you will be turned down from time to time - it goes with the job and is time to take applications very slowly :)
  • as this could be the reason as MBNA own virgin - just a thought
    I saw a link yesterday I think it was someone had posted a list of whose oens which CC's might be worth checking it out - hope this helps

    i was with a & l a few years ago before MBNA, got 4 cards only one with balance, never neen with MBNA before! Just sent for experian file...thanx

    This sounds serious. Perhaps you should do it as soon as possible.
    I have never seen this advice given before. It could be some kind of identity issue. Hopefully only you can resolve the problem.
