New PC but what about IPOD

Hi, I think I have messed up with my IPOD.

My PC expired and so I bought a new one. I had managed to save what I needed from the old one. I have all my music and photos etc on my IPOD, but thought I would just be able to transfer them across. It seems I can't. If I try, I get the warning 'all items on the IPOD will be replaced' or words to that effect. Is there any way I can sort this? Thanks in advance.

Which software did you use? iTunes? If yes, try something else, such as Yamipod which is free:

You could also connect your old hard drive to your new PC and transfer them that way (assuming you still have the old one and it's still working).

Haven't used this, but it seems that it will transfer them across from iPod, to any PC, whether authorised or not, and it's free.

Itunes yes. I will look at yamipod.

Regarding the old PC, yes I still have the hd, but am not sure how I would connect it?
