When prices fall those trapped in rented accommodation will be able to buy again as they would have previously. The balance will be restored.

And who is going to lend money to these bad risk tenant's who have money owed everywhere, skipped paying the utility companys (who will now be able to track them down) .
Why don't these people trapped buy now? as in our area for just a few quid more on a mortgage they could buy.

Sorry but they don't live on the streets. They buy the houses you are forced to sell for 40% less.

No chance I will buy them all up for 20% less and then rent them out at a higher rate than they were paying before:beer: :T :T :j :j

Increased costs of running BTL = increased rent.

May as well just add VAT to rent.

:)

GG
Would that mean that the government would have to chase bad paying tenant's to get their owed tax in?:T :T

Price falls are already happening check out the recent Land registry figures. Accept it the parties over the hangover is going to be long.

The smart money has already left.
So you must be a STR?
Or is it that you never had the b@lls to buy somewhere to start with?

Or maybe you are to busy knocking everyone else to realise that you need to work to earn some money to do the things that you envy in everybody else

Why do you assume people renting wouldn't be able to access credit.

I am not interested in the land registry figures as i'm not selling. Doh.

When the government get around to evicting my tenants and selling it from under my nose to some FTB'ers will be the day you start making some sense on this forum (never).

Ah! A vested interest a sensible debate falls at the first hurdle and with reason.

Your assumption is everyone wants to buy. Why assume that ? Job insecurity, changing jobs, living on benefits, low wages etc. There have always been people who either can't or don't choose to buy.

My parents couldn't afford to buy 40 years ago, my dad earned too little plus he didn't want the worry of the bills etc. He preferred the security of renting from the council.

Property costing more than many people can afford is nothing new. Maybe it's just expectations that have, ie ' I SHOULD be able to afford to buy. Why ?

Regardless of whether one wishes to buy or rent. Buying a first home has never been as difficult as it is now.

You either accept the issues as real or you choose to ignore them.
