I hear the 30hr element to get most WTC is going up to 35hrs, is this correct?

There is a 30hr element to WTC, if you do over 16 you get the bare minimum, but if you do 30+ you get the max amount.
some are calling for it to be raised to 35hrs when UC comes in.0 -
It would certainly be a good thing if it were to happen, some people on here have begun to argue that 30 hours is full time!0

I wonder if the OP is thinking about the conditionality requirements to get into the 'no work related requirements' group of Universal Credit?
To be placed in this group you would need to be working the equivalent of 35 hours at national minimum wage.

At the moment loads of self employed new start ups say they are working 30rs week to get extra WTC. But they are not really working that many hrs.0

You don't necessarily get the maximum by working 30+, the amount you get is based on income.
The only difference between 29 and 30 hours is the 30+ element which is worth £790 a year.
