Talkmobile's charge to call customer services

Talkmobile currently charge 50p for a call to customer services.

Am I right in hoping that paragraph 41 of the Consumer Contracts (etc) Regulations 2013 will force them to stop this ripoff?

You are right to you, many issues can be sorted online, so TM more than likely have justification for the charge.

The charge isn't 50 pence per minute and a call is likely to last over 1 minute so I would expect the charge is still infact lower than the charge you would pay if it was billed at their standard rate.

I used a number on Saynoto0870 (01653 952586). Wouldn't expect them to be open today though.

Perfectly legal. As other methods to contact are provided, the price is used to discourage or profile customers to use other methods.

Also this is a tariff decision, and has nothing to do with your contracts, so this is an irrelevance.
