I keep logging password again and select mail and it

Have just read this on yahoo answers.

'change the URL like this and you can get a working mail system until they fix it:

    change ....../neo/launch... to ..../neo/b/launch... '

So you basically just add the '/b' (forward slash b) into the url. I have tried it and it works to get your email usable.

This is a useful website to check if things are down/up and often has user reports which can point to site problems.

I have just started having problems with my yahoo.co.uk address. I normally use Gmail to collect it, and all of a sudden I kept getting an error.

It seems I can send email from it but not receive.

Yahoo.com addresses seem to be ok, as hubby has one.

The Yahoo mail problems began in mid-early December. the CEO of Yahoo has apologised for ongoing problems but starting 4 January a further round of access problems has occurred. In my case Pop3 reading of mail is impossible, though my mail client is able to send via smtp. Logging on to Web mail allows reading messages but you are likely to receive the 'need to confirm password' screen that suggests things like clearing cache/cookies etc.

Were it not such a pain in the proverbial to get contacts fully informed I would gladly shift to Gmail or even pay a few quid for a personal domain address. Yahoo's service is of course free which makes it harder to validly criticise but their efforts to implement a robust fix seem amateurish to date .
  • have lost faith in yahoo, they can't get their act together, and are clearly struggling - I've kept the yahoo email but moved all the sensitive stuff elsewhere, it occurred to me that if they can't organise a P*** up in a brewery, then I clearly don't want sensitive stuff there like reset password emails from sites I use etc. Not wishing to scaremonger as it's unlikely we're looking at the whole thing being insecure, but practically, if they keep failing, and there's been many over the last couple of months, do you want anything of value stored there?

Sorry to be a bit Luddite, but I'm having the same problem with my yahoo account on the iPad (laptop access is fine). Signed out and back into the account - no luck. Then been into settings, deleted and added the account - again no help. Anyone?

Eta: got round it by downlink the app. My hand was forced.
