Hospital Parking Ticket

Hi,
Back in April I recieved a parking ticket for parking in a disabled space without the appropraite badge. After watching a couple of things with Martin Lewis I did not pay the ticket as he has said that you will not be prosectured.
Anyway six months or so on, I have recieved letters from a dept collection agency and I am wondering if I should pay it? Obviously the dept collection agency are only thretening to take this to court and may not however, I am wondering if I should pay this or not?
What do you think?
Thanks!

Read the NEWBIES thread. (Link is in my signature - copy/paste into your browser).
We don't advocate parking in disabled spaces unless you are entitled (blue badge or not, as a BB has no relevance in a private car park).
Which hospital and which PPC was the original notice from? Who is the debt company? (A search of this forum for the company will likely yield lots of results).0 -
You don't need a badge to park in a disabled bay on private land, but if you are not disabled as outlined in the Equality Act 2010, then please consider your actions and don't do it again, particularly in a hospital where there would be a higher number of disabled people needing these bays!
On your situation, the debt collectors have zero powers and will not take you to court, but who is the parking company behind this? And have you made complaints to the nhs trust in relation to this? If not then why not?
ThanksWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I think you should read 'Newbies read this first' where I have separated the debt collector advice to make it clearer.
And 'Successful complaints about PPCs' which in post #3 encourages you to complain to PALS when you get these threats after a hospital visit. Details & links on the thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
