Happy New Year!!!
Thanks Amber and Buffy!
So all my good intentions are on hold. I did wake up early and start the nappy wash and expressed for DS but I hadn't had enough sleep so came back to bed with the start of a head cold - my sinuses are sore!
I've just woken up so I better get a move on before we head out! Here is my list of things to do:
- one load of laundry
- change bedding
- ironing (will do it tonight while watching tv)
- order MAC code to transfer broadband
- pay annual BT annual phone bill (money already saved!) and order broadband
The weather's a bit crazy so probably won't take DS for walk but I will make sure I read to him!
Hope your NYD plans are going well!

Hello
The list was part achieved. The ironing is turning into the Himalayas! I really need to do some this evening if DS manages go get sleep. He had his jabs today and was very clingy last time so we will see.he is currently sleeping on his daddy!
I also haven't paid for the BT line rental as I have been offered a better deal so just waiting for DH to confirm. If we go ahead I will save £60 over the next 12 months.
Yesterday and today have been NSDs for me. We may need to go to the supermarket tomorrow to get disposable nappies for DS. We usually have him in cloth nappies but he had a week of diarrhoea last time and I won't be able to keep up with the laundry!
Brunch and dinner today were all from stores. I am using up some sachets of porridge and dried fruit/seeds. I have also been working on developing the store cupboard with dried beans and other staples as well using up things that I bought with good intentions.
Finally, I am going to aim to get rid of 10 things every day in an attempt to deal with my 'stuff'. I sorted through the Christmas cards today for recycling and will try and deal with another pile of stuff this evening while catching up on some Christmas TV.
Sorry - lots of random rambling! Hope you are all well.

Not rambling at all.
All sounds good to me

Buffy - not organised at all! It's all talk. Maybe I can convince myself that I am more organised than I really am.0 -
Hello Urg, just read through your diary and really felt for you what a tough year.
I just wanted to suggest one thing to try and help and I promise I am not being facetious...but if the mountain of ironing is causing you stress...don't do it! Seriously I gave up ironing when I had my youngest, I just fold everything from the airers/line when it's dry (we are a jeans and t-shirt family) and I do a quick ten minute iron in the evening when I get out everyone's clothes ready for the morning (I also find this makes mornings a bit more efficient). Good Luck with all your efforts in 2014 xDEBT : Aug 2019 [STRIKE]£6220[/STRIKE] £5970

Hi Squirrelly, I don't mind at all.
I used to quite enjoy ironing pre-baby but life has got a bit more hectic. I'm hoping DS will get into a better pattern and we will have more time in the evenings. He currently doesnt go to sleep until around 10 by which time I am usually shattered. I also need to decide which items really do need ironing and what can be folded off the airer.
Not much done today:
- Played with DS:D,
- cooked a meal from scratch using stores,
- washed DS's clothes
- changed phone and broadband supplier which will save me nearly £70 over the next year. It also means that I can move the money I had set aside to pay for BT annual to my emergency savings.
DH went to the supermarket while DS and I hibernated from the awful weather. Armed with a list he only spent £21 which would have been a lot worse if I had gone with him!
Tomorrow will be busy with family and some spending.
Hope you are all well and have a great weekend.

Hello Urgy
Glad you avoided the foul weather, I thought at one point today my house was actually at sea, couldn't see anything but water out of the windows!
Re ironing..........I get all my washing out of the washing machine and hang it up on hangers - much of the creases and stuff drop out. and I only wear leggings and long tops these days that don't need much ironing if any.......of course the house looks like a charity shop back room for a couple of days but hey ho!
