Ski Insurance

Hi,
I am going skiing in switzerland for the first time this winter and I'm looking for some recommendations for winter sports insurance. I don't want to scrimp on this but I would like to get a good deal.
I'm a little wary of the comparison sites as I'm worried they may be too good to be true.....
Any help appreciated

Comparison sites are never going to be too good to be true however some insurers do sell a budget version of their products on their to enable them to cut the price and so appear higher in the listings.
Ultimate the T&Cs are there and its a case of short listing ones, normally on price, and then reading their terms. May be worth cross comparing to a higher end brand to see what you are potentially missing0 -
I go skiing a lot & have used various insurers. Free travel insurance with Natwest current accounts is very good, I witnessed a friend claiming & the service was very good. I currently use Virgin, but have no experience of a claim. I've used Snowcard before & they are high risk travel specialists & are worth a look.
Enjoy the piste!0 -
Hi, I was recently in your position. In the end I went for GNU Standard Plus. It covered more than the basic needs that some of the ultra cheap ones covered and is part of the AXA group, which hopefully gives me reasonable chances of a claim should I be in that position. Best thing is to do is to read the key facts document of a couple of them, and make sure that it has a 24hr emergency help line as a must.0
