After over a year after tea today I finally get a bill from npower.

The bill needs to be paid by the 27/12. Are they having a laugh? I have been paying monthly but still have some extra to pay.

But even better they estimate that next years bill is going to double... Is this a hint of their price increases? May be I have misunderstood fixed tariffs?

Does this sound similar to anyone else?

Nope ... Been roughly same usage for last three years. Even last years late cold snap did not really change annual usage

    Hi tibawo,

Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear it's taken a long time to get you a bill :(. If you need extra time to pay the outstanding balance we can look at a repayment plan for you.

When we estimate your future charges we will base this on previous energy history that we hold for you, however if you would like me to check your account to make sure your future projections are accurate please drop me an email using the address on my profile page.

    Thanks

    Leigh :)

Repayment plan? Are you joking? Bill received on 23 Dec, 'due' on 27 Dec. Only 1 working day over Christmas to pay?

What is needed is for your IT to work out a sensible payment date.

Ooops, I forgot, you are nPower, you don't do IT.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'
  • NPower are still at it, i swapped to a new provider in october, services moved on the 26th Nov, just received a final electricity bill which was bizarre being on duel fuel and no sign of the final gas bill which means a further delay to repaying my overpayment. Total sharks.
